Spinnaker Toastmasters club helds its annual prizegiving and Christmas dinner at Plimmerton Boating Club on Tuesday 1 December 2020, finishing off the Toastmasters year.
Guest speaker Mayor Anita Baker addressed us and outlined the events of her first year as mayor, covering emergency and COVID responses, how the elected members working as a team, and what the challenges are of being mayor in a multi-cultural booming city.
The awards were:
- Most Improved Speaker – Megan Kloppenburg
- George Nicholson Trophy – Megan Kloppenburg
- Knight Award – Katina Beauchamp (pictured)
- Toastmaster of the Year – Dave Cook (pictured)
