Katina is a senior member of Spinnaker Toastmasters and is working towards her Distinguished Toastmaster Award. The capstone project for this award is to do a project that benefits Toastmasters and its members.
For this project Katina has opted to run what she calls a “travelling evaluation workshop” to make it easy and accessible for Toastmasters to attend where she takes a one hour workshop on evaluations to a number of clubs in the Wellington Division to help lift their club members evaluations from “good to great”.
On Tuesday 20 October 2026, Katina used Spinnaker Toastmasters as the trial for her workshop format. Part 1 was to deliver an evaluation and have the audience analyse it using the “Excel, Work on, and Challenge” formula on Toastmasters evaluation forms.
Following that in Part 2 Katina delivered a speech and the audience had to get together in small groups and come up with an evaluation using the “Excel, Work on, and Challenge” formula, and then one person from each group delivered an evaluation.
Katina then wrapped up the workshop by thanking Spinnaker members and said that she would continue to develop the content ready to take on the road.
