Hybrid meeting challenges

Spinnaker’s 15 February meeting was held both physically and online, with two guests attending.

Speaker 1 was Paul with “Killing it!”, a story about he managed to kill off his Christmas gift of a mandarin tree. Evaluator Ian said it was a typical “Paulism story”.

Speaker 2 was Dave with “Observations”, his take on his leadership style. Evaluator Megan thought it was a very clever speech with inspiration that worked.

Speaker 3 was Gary with “Woof”, a practice speech for the Humorous Contest, where Gary purchased a robot vacuum cleaner for his wife for Christmas, and her reaction.

Speech 4 was Megan with “Help – please!”, another practice speech for the International Speech Contest where she related a true story about a trauma she had suffered 18 years ago in Amsterdam.

Table Topics by Dale had the speakers talking on “one word movie titles”.

Katina our Chairperson ably managed the meeting and we finished right on time.
