Seasons Greetings!

Season’s greetings:)

A small but perfectly formed group of Spinnaker club members gathered for a Christmas BBQ on Tuesday 6th December. Ron and Jacqui very kindly opened their home to us and so we followed the time-honored Kiwi tradition and brought a plate. Some of us were even adorned with Christmas decorations and antlers. The Santa tie and shirt were suitably admired. We ate heartily, enjoyed each other’s company and had good fun with a round of table topics. Dave’s an expert at trifle and spent some time preparing and assembling his masterpiece.

Everyone was awarded a certificate for their general brilliance and particular contribution to the club over the course of the year. Darrell Phillips very deservedly was awarded Toastmaster of the Year, in recognition of all his contributions to the club during the year. Dirk (pictured below) received his official Welcome to the Club certificate.

Having thoroughly enjoyed the yummy food, we all got a Secret Santa gift – some were stolen and even fought over! Yep, we all had a good time amongst friends, what a wonderful finish to a good Spinnaker year.
