Three members of the Waikanae Toastmasters Club David, Terence and Chris visited Spinnaker on Tuesday 19 November to hand over the Travelling Gavel.
The Travelling Gavel is a carved award that is presented from one club to the next. Two members of the handover club takes the award to the new club and presents a speech and evaluation. The idea is that the award keeps making its way around clubs promoting a sense of participation and joint involvement and fostering fellowship to benefit all members.
