Fun, informative, invigorating

Tonight Spinnaker Toastmasters excelled with four speeches on a variety of topics from code development, to personal goals, the Toastmasters Pathway programme update and translations and interpretations.

The Grammarian was Jocelyn whose challenge was to “paint a picture wth your words” and in her report she picked up on two examples of how this was done.

Timekeeper Darrell wrapped up his timing report by explaining why timing was so important especially if you dont want to get disqualified in a contest.

All the speech evaluators had listened carefully to the speeches and gave encouraging, informative and clear evaluations, picking up on the key points from each speaker, and offering useful recommendations such as improving the conclusion, readability of powerpoint slides, use of filler words and clasping of hands and body language.

We also welcomed two guests tonight who gave speeches in Table Topics introducing themselves and why they had come along.
