Six speeches – a record!

Spinnaker’s first meeting of 2024 chaired by President Angela had six speeches on the agenda – as General Evaluator Gary pointed out – it was a record!

Because of technical difficulties your reporter missed some of the speeches, so this blog will publish quotes from the evaluators:

Jacqui, evaluating Katina’s icebreaker said: ”Katina excelled in this speech, and told us some deep details about her origins.”

Ron, evaluating Dieter’s speech said: “It was a personal eye-gripping speech and I loved the colour of the language used.”

“Second speech, no notes – amazing!” said Megan evaluating Lin’s speech.

Kathy, in her evaluation for Janine said she now knows what “woke” is, she liked hearing the history and use of the word and where it originally started and how it has changed over time.

Susie said, “I can relate to lack of preparation when having to give a speech with little notice”; she was evaluating Mike’s “Three mistakes of my third speech”,

Dale, evaluating Darrell said that he told us the average person is worth $1,900 but believes he is worth over $2,300 by weight, now he thinks he is worth $1,630 counting depreciation, but he added value over the holidays! The mind boggles!

General evaluator Gary said: ”I have written 11 and a bit pages to talk about! Six speeches is a record, but we managed it well.”

And we finished on time!
